DERBY RBM-7 medical backpack.
The main feature of the DERBY RBM-7 backpack is two interconnected backpacks with a volume of 27 and 15 liters. If necessary, the backpacks can be quickly separated and used separately from each other:
- The main backpack with a volume of 27 liters, dimensions (HxWxD): 53x33x15, weight 1.3 kg.
- Combat (assault) backpack with a volume of 15 liters, dimensions (HxWxD): 43x31x14, weight, 1.1 kg.
The backpack is designed for combat medics, but thanks to the universal placement of components, it is suitable for rescuers, paramedics, sappers or other military and civilian specialties. The seventh generation of RBM backpacks is based on the experience accumulated since 2014 and advice received from combat medics who used previous backpack models.
The total volume of the two backpacks is 42 liters, weight 2.4 kg. The outer material of both backpacks is CORDURA 500D. The lining inside is made of durable OXFORD 300D polyester. All plastic fittings are made of durable POLYAMIDE plastic (nylon). This plastic has advantages over others due to its high tensile strength and high wear resistance. The backpacks are sewn with durable and additionally waxed "TYTAN-40" thread that does not rot. Places of increased load are reinforced with "zigzag" rows.
Equipment of the main backpack for 27 liters:
INSIDE the backpack has three removable colored containers for medicines or other filling, made of OXFORD 600D material, the volume of each container is 6 liters. The containers have transparent lids and inserts for notes. There are 4 rows of rubber bands on the folding wall for attaching various accessories. Also on the folding wall there is a large zippered pocket, divided by a partition into two parts, this pocket is suitable for storing occlusions or other small items. On the side walls there are two elongated pockets made of durable mesh, closed with a zipper. There are Velcro fasteners on the top and bottom, to which you can additionally attach a large modular ampoule holder/organizer DERBY AM-68 or DERBY AM-136 (these ampoule holders are not included with the backpack).
OUTSIDE the backpack has a "MOLLE" fastening system on all sides, which allows you to hang various accessories. The main compartment closes with a branded strong, wide and waterproof type 10 zipper. The shoulder straps have a ventilation mesh and a 10 mm thick damping seal. The sternum strap allows you to better fix the backpack during long walks or runs. Reinforced seams are made in the places where the straps are attached. The side walls of the backpack have additional protection with a 5 mm thick sealant. There is a fastex on the right shoulder strap of the backpack for quick release of the backpack. For convenient carrying, the backpack has a handle on the top and on both sides. There are belt loops on both sides for convenient attachment of bulky accessories, such as a sleeping mat, shovel, etc. The backpack is equipped with two compression straps located on the bottom and attached to MOLLE, fastened with fastex for convenience. If necessary, the straps are easily removed. The length of the straps allows you to attach bulky items to the backpack, such as a winter sleeping bag, etc.
Equipment of a 15 liter combat backpack:
An important feature of the backpack is the presence of a loop for quick opening of the backpack with one hand movement. The loop is burgundy in color and in the working position is fixed with Velcro under the upper handle of the backpack. In the non-working position, the loop is hidden inside the backpack.

Just like in the main backpack, there are Velcro fasteners on the top and bottom for attaching additional large ampoules DERBY AM-68 or DERBY AM-136 (these ampoules are not included with the backpack).
ON THE OUTSIDE, the backpack has a "MOLLE" attachment system on all sides, which allows you to hang a variety of accessories. The innovative universal front quick-access panel allows you to start helping the injured person without opening the backpack - put on gloves, take scissors, get a tourniquet. The large front pocket opens to an angle of 180 degrees and has convenient attachments for 8 tourniquets, bandages or other accessories. The shoulder straps in the attachment points are have reinforced seams. The chest strap allows you to better fix the backpack during long walks or runs. On the right shoulder strap of the backpack there is a fastex for quick removal of the backpack. All external pockets are closed with a branded strong and waterproof zipper type 8. The backpack comes with a strong metal carabiner.
Tactical ampoule holder DERBY A-BOX.
Thanks to the original design, the ampoule holder can be transported in several different ways: hang it on the MOLLE system, fasten it with Velcro inside the DERBY RBM-5 backpack, attach it to the DERBY MODO modular organizer, or simply put it in any bag or backpack. The ampoule holder has two removable panels with cells for 156 ampoules and a removable transparent pencil case. The size of the ampoule holder is 32x16x11 cm. The outer material is CORDURA 500D, inside - durable OXFORD 300D. All walls of the ampoule case are lined with 5mm thick, softening polyethylene foam, which prevents damage to the ampoules inside the ampoule case. On the outside, the ampoule case has MOLLE system straps on one side, and Velcro on the other side hidden under camouflage pads. Between the Velcro there is a transparent pocket for inserting information sheets the size of a business card. On the other side there are additional MOLLE straps to which you can attach, for example, a tourniquet or scissors. The ampoule case is closed with a strong zipper with sliders with paracord. The zipper has a visor that protects against rain getting inside. Inside the ampoule holder has two removable panels with Velcro fasteners for ampoules of different sizes:
· 92 ampoules with a volume of 1-2 ml
· 36 ampoules with a volume of 5 ml
· 28 ampoules with a volume of 10 ml
The removable pencil case with Velcro fasteners has transparent walls and closes with a zipper. On the inner walls of the ampoule holder there are additional pockets made of a durable mesh. The ampoule holder can be cleaned from the outside and inside with a brush with soapy water.
The DERBY AM-68 ampoule holder has slots for 68 ampoules on one side and 2 voluminous pockets with transparent windows on the other side. The DERBY AM-136 ampoule holder has slots for 136 ampoules on both sides. The size of the ampoule holder is 36x27x3 cm (without Velcro) and 43x27x3 cm including Velcro fasteners. The frame of the ampoule case is made of durable plastic. The elastic bands are sewn onto durable and water-repellent OXFORD 600D fabric with PU coating. The transparent pocket windows are made of 250 micron thick PVC film. The ampoule case can also be used as an organizer for placing various accessories. Thanks to the Velcro, the ampoule case can be connected to various medical backpacks manufactured by DERBY. The ampoule case can be cleaned with a brush and soapy water.
